LONGTIME OB-GYN SPECIALIST HAS ANSWERS TO WOMEN’S QUESTIONS

A woman preparing for her first – or her 31st – visit to a gynecologist is advised to arrive prepared with a set of questions, as part of an increased awareness on the need for improving the patient-physician relationship.

The result, according to one obstetric gynecologist, is a more confident patient and an active partner in maintaining her personal health and emotional well-being.

Dr. Chawki Nahabet, who has dedicated the past 25 years to women’s health as a board-certified obstetric gynecologist, recently developed a series of questions on various gynecological procedures, to aid women in their quest for knowledge and self-empowerment.

“I realized that many of my patients did not know the right questions to ask me,” said Dr. Nahabet, whose website (http://www.questionstomygynecologist.com/) is aimed at arming women with the right questions and for the right reasons.

“My patients, and all women, need a guide, a series of fundamental questions to ask their gynecologist,” Nahabet said. “Until now, these questions have been missing and are not found on the web.”

Anyone can tap the Internet for vast reservoirs of data – not, however, always reliable. What Nahabet is offering is a wealth of information from a man whose lifework is ensuring that women take an active role in managing their personal gynecological health.

It was Nahabet’s wife who suggested that her husband compile a list of questions pertaining to specific gynecological issues and procedures, such as infertility, tubal ligation and hysterectomy.

He answered the call, and came up with FREE checklists pertaining to these and other procedures, each with no less than 75, and as many as 150, questions women are encouraged to consider in meeting with their doctors.

Nahabet has made available questions covering a dozen topics, through his website, easily downloadable for FREE

A Message from Chawki Nahabet MD

After many years in the trenches, this website was conceived, created and designed to give women valuable questions they need to ask their Gynecologist and Anesthesiologist in order to better understand their condition and to decide WITH their Gynecologist, the best possible treatment or surgery for their ultimate wellbeing.

I have prepared 75 - 150 effective questions you should ask your Gynecologist. The real life, in depth questions you need to ask your Gynecologist if you are considering or having any of the surgeries listed above.

In order for women to make an informed decision regarding the future of their health, they have the right to know as much as possible about their condition or surgery. There are numerous sites with information, such as Wikipedia, the National Women's Health Information Center and many other websites. There are some sites with a limited number of suggested questions.

With 25+ years of experience as an Obstetrician and Gynecologist, I realized that many of my patients did not know the right questions to ask me. I also realized that inspite of the massive amount of information found on the web, it was only information. My patients, and all women  needed a guide, a series of fundamental questions to ask their Gynecologist. Until now, these questions have been missing and are not found on the web.

With sincere wishes for your good health

Chawki Nahabet MD
